A pleasant night, followed by a morning of bullshit

Last night: I went to Saving Gigi to see the first night of Lake Forest’s (aka Will Whitwham of the Wilderness of Manitoba) CD release party. Saving Gigi is a really small venue, probably held about 30 people or so before it started feeling like a fire hazard.

Anyways, the show was great, and very intimate (it definitely fits the music of Lake Forest). I also met for the first time Elaine of Carnival Moon, who I’ve emailed a few times, as well as Ken, a PR agent I’ve been in contact with for two years.

This morning: Last year I had to create a plan of study for my university- in other words, I had to say which courses I’d be taking from third year onwards. Anyway, at the beginning of the week I (and my fellow journalism students) got an email saying my plan of study isn’t valid because a bunch of courses were no longer being offered at all or in certain terms. None of those courses applied to me, so I ignored it a bit. This morning I decided to check my plan just to make sure, and sure enough it was marked as “not valid.” I had to re-select courses I had already chosen before and now I have to re-submit my plan.
